Solar Panel Options 

Solar Newcastle utilises the latest high efficiency solar panel technologies to achieve the maximum performance for your solar grid installation.

There are three main type of panels on the market - Mono-crystalline, Poly-crystalline or Thin Film (A-SI). Solar Newcastle chooses to use Mono-crystalline or Thin Film (A-SI) panels because they are most suited to Australian conditions. You can be assured that Solar Newcastle will recommend the technology most suited to your energy needs.  

 

 

Thin Film Panels

Solar Newcastle chooses to use the Amplesun Solar Thin Film photovoltaic module which offers long term stability of your solar system. Thin Film suits our harsh Australian conditions, especially with the heat effecting efficiency of all panels types.

Mono-Crystalline Panels

The Mono-crystalline is the most popular domestic panel used in Australia. All Mono-crystalline panels used by Solar Newcastle are of the highest quality in what we like to call an A Grade panel. Panel manufacturers use a power tolerance of -5%, this means if you had a 175W panel and it tested 5% less in power tolerance, you could be receiving a 166W panel reducing your power output. At Solar Newcastle all our panels come with a -0% / +3% power tolerance meaning all panels tested are required to be 175W or above, therefore increasing your power output for a superior and quicker return.
